Graduated in 2009 from the Beaux-Arts of Toulouse, Marceau Couve lives and works in Leipzig.
This young artist feels nostalgic for the times when the earth was flat, when elves were playing in the woods, when painters were mistreating the laws of perspective.
In between a child game and an ex-voto, in between outsider art and kandinskian synesthesia, Marceau endlessy plays - at its simplest level - the enchanted melodies of his “enfance de l'art”.
In his universe, witches deal with modernist avant-gardes, as dead painters battle through video-games. The spectator's eye wanders through a multicolored riddle of paintings, drawings and collages. Its whole as a psychedelic anthem to the mystery of creation.
